Help with crinoline!

Gloria, on January 5, 2017 at 12:25 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

Ok so I loved my dress before they cut it. It looked a lil more like a trumpet dress, it hugged my hips then flared out nicely. But once they cut it it didn't flare out the same. I attached a picture on how I would like my dress to look like and how it was before they cut it and after. What type of crinoline do u think I need? I'm debating between A-line and trumpet. And don't want hoops but what do u guys think? Please help me! thanx

Why don't you want a hoop? Just curious, because I bought a crinoline, then tried on a hoop at alterations and instantly took the crinoline back, they're so hot and scratchy.

Anyway, I think you want a slim A-line crinoline if you want it to look like the first picture--although it appears the torso on your dress falls differently on you than it does the model so I don't think you'll ever get quite that same match. But---just go try on your dress with the different crinolines before you buy one.

I would try it on with both & see how it looks. When you put a crinoline underneath, the skirt loses some length though, and it doesn't look like you have length to spare Smiley sad

I don't want the hoop because everyone says it's hard to sit down or get into the car. I wana l to order my crinoline online. They don't have the trumpet crinoline at the dress store. Ahh! I hope there's a lil room to atleast make it poof out??

If what you're looking for is for it to cinch your curves better just have the seamstress cinch it around your hips Smiley smile that's what I'm doing

I bought a trumpet hoop/crinoline combination on amazon. I promise you it is not hard to sit in. It actually makes it a thousand times easier to walk, because the hoop keeps the dress layers away from your feet.
