Help with Bridesmaid/Groomsmen coordination - David's Bridal Bellini

Stacie, on January 7, 2016 at 7:10 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

Hi Bees

I'm looking for some advice on my color scheme (peach, coral, gold). The wedding is in May in the morning. My BM dresses are Bellini. Those are not the dresses, just trying on the color. My dress is a Maggie in "Ivory over Pale Blush" (it has more of a peach undertone than a pink).

So here's my dilemma. I'm not sure what to do with the guys. My FH wants to wear a light grey suit and have the groomsmen wear a darker shade of grey to distinguish him from the guys. My original thought was to have the groomsmen wear a tie matching the bridesmaids and my FH to wear a blush-ish shade to match my gown. However, I think a pale blush might be too light against the white shirt and he agrees. Should I have my FH and his GM all wear the same peach tie with different suits? Should I have my FH's tie match the BMs, and the GM wear coral to match the bouquets? If anyone used Bellini for their wedding, can you please share pictures of the bridal party?

If you get your bridesmaids dresses at davids mens warehouse will cordinate. Our colors are coral and teal. Half the girls are wearing coral and half are wearing teal. The guys are wearing grey suites and half are wearing matching coral and half are wearing teal.

Davids bridal coordinates with men's warehouse on their color choices. Try them.

Welcome to wedding wire. Smiley smile

My dress is ombré. Ivory on top to blush on the bottom. I have my Bm's in different shades of champagne and blush. My guys are in navy suits with blush & champagne bow ties.

I'm gonna ignore the bees comment *insert side eye* but Bellini is a brand new color from DB as of October-ish so I don't know how many examples your going to find. Grey suits would look great with that color though!

Sorry to offend everyone. I googled davids bridal bellini and came across wedding bees threads, but couldn't find the answer I was looking for and decided to post. I got confused where I was with all the tabs open. I was trying to be friendly, I didn't realize it was such a big deal.

Amberrose - I saw that men's wearhouse partners with davids. I went to their site, but when it asks for your color scheme, they kept redirecting me to pinterest for ideas. I'll have to check out the store in person.

Sarahmarie - Sounds like everyone will look amazing. I love the navy and blush look!

Lizzys - I didn't know it was a new color. Thanks for the information.

I found two ties in century 21 (not sure if you have one of those by you) for the groomsmen. It's by Geoffrey beene (I believe that's the spelling). Its thin stripes of coral and white, so when you look at it from afar, the color looks lighter. I looked online and found it at Macy's, but they list the color as orange, whereas mine say coral on the tag. Try Macy's and see if you can look at it in person. I'm not sure if it's the same tie, or if mine is a discontinued color. My fh is going to wear petal pink from David's/men's wearhouse. It's much lighter (almost white), but on the same scale of peach. We originally bought him a blush tie at century 21 that coordinated with the gm ties, but when we go home it looked too bubble gum pink. What's your groom wearing?

It's not a big deal that you said "bees" ... Woman can be really annoying about certain things.

BTW -- we are using the same colors! My bridesmaids are wearing Bellini and my dress is ivory over blush!! I'm trying to decide whether to have the guys wear a very light grey or a very light green. I don't know what to do!

Also - I'm going to have he guys wear jade colored bow ties! Just to give our pictures more color.

I am having my maids wear Bellini (dress is also a ivory/blush, but the blush has a tad of a peach hint to it). The men will be wearing dark grey.

I need helping thinking on the decor - Ie: does the Bellini color look more peachy or pink in person?

I was dead sent on pink in my theme and don't particularly want to go the peach/coral route if that makes sense.

    xoxo
