    Is it too tight?

It's true, there really isn't much to be done. The unfortunate thing about the style of this dress is that there's going to be a little bit of crinkling, but it's not something anyone but the bride and anyone she points it out to will notice. If the dress were super tight, then that's one reason, but even after it's let out it will do that a little

I'll tell you this conundrum; every time my alterations department gets a fit and flare or mermaid dress, the bride will want it to fit them tightly, even if we tell them that they should leave a little room to be able to sit (even if that's not going to be done a lot at the reception) and that the dress will make those lines if too tight. They tell us to make it super tight. We tighten it as their request, they come in and see the lines and sometimes they aren't happy; actually, about 60% they aren't, even though we told them what would happen.

I can't enlarge the picture to see pins, so I don't see what you're talking about. But if you feel as if the dress was just right when you tried it on pre-pin in the picture, then you don't need more done

It looks too tight. Taking it out a little bit should fix most of it. It will crinkle a little anyways though because of the material.

My seamstress told me the same thing April is talking about. She told me if I want the dramatic look, then yes... She can take in the sides, but at some point during the day or evening, I'm going to have to pee and lifting a dress that tight isn't going to be easy. I know she's right so I'm leaving my dress how it is.

Lol I've worn really tight mermaid dresses before, but I would avoid drinking anything and it'd only be in my for 4 maybe 5 hours. If I couldn't pee in one of those, I wouldn't be able to pee in my wedding dress. I like to be able to use the bathroom.

Honestly, I think it looks good as is and probably wouldn't have the sides taken in much more unless absolutely needed. Clothes crinkle like that when they're too tight

Too tight. The fabric needs to be able to skim your skin or it won't fall straight.

My seamstress let the sides out a half an inch on both sides of my thighs to give me a little wiggle room. It looked sort of like that, but it bunched more on the outside rather than the middle. Honestly, if you didn't say something I probably wouldn't have really noticed it! Maybe it could be let out just a tad?
