Help, what is your ring bearer carrying down the aisle?

MNBride, on May 15, 2017 at 7:42 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 61

Are you actually giving him the rings? I have been advised not to. If you don't give him the rings what is he going to carry? Signs with funny sayings aren't really my thing.

There's really not much that can happen if someone ties the rings on right before he takes his first step down the aisle. Many people, do choose a pillow or other container with fake rings. They can be purchased at Save On Crafts, Michaels etc.

I made this sign for him to carry. I wouldn't trust the 3 year old with the rings!

I don't blame you for not wanting to give him the rings! My three year old nephew would lose them for sure. He's getting a here comes the bride sign, if he makes it down the aisle at all. He changes his mind on a daily basis (sometimes hourly) about whether he's gonna do it or not lol

Mine carried this briefcase that said ring security. I filled it up with ring pops.

Some folks use fake rings while the best man and maid of honor hold the actual wedding bands. More and more couples are using boxes versus pillows for their ring bearers to carry whether or not the little man is holding the real hardware. Best wishes!

I have been so nervous to let my future nephew carry the rings down the aisle. He is so unpredictable. I love all of these ideas. I have been trying to think of something new too.

Our rings will be on something like this, our ring bearer is 5 years old. Our DOC will keep track of the rings before the ceremony, then he'll be handed this thing right before he walks and will hand them to our officiant at the end of aisle. He'll put it on the little altar area we've created.

For my middle sisters wedding my nephew was the ring bearer and he was almost 3. She had the rings in a little box that latched (but didn't lock). Nephew ended up tripping down the aisle and dropped the box (he made a spectacular catch!). It was literally the cutest thing ever but the point is that the rings stayed safely in the box even with the drop.

We just had ours carry a pillow and the other carried a sign that said "here comes the bride". DH's best man had the rings the whole time

I think the ring security briefcase is secure idea. Also, if that's not your thing then you could put them in a box or tie them to whatever he is carrying right before he walks down the isle so that he can't lose them.

We have twin ring bearers and they are carrying our vow books instead of rings. We have 2 separate leather books they will have

Our ring bearer is 14 so he'll be bringing the rings down in a ring box. When the officiant asks for the rings he'll bring them to us. A lot of people with very young RB's tie fake rings to a pillow.

Might skip ring-bearer title and have FH's teenage cousin, his "Groomswoman," carry rings and vows in a sparkly box.

I am giving ours pillows with our real rings tied to them. What can really happen to the rings if they are securely tied to pillows. Worst case scenario they drop them down the waterfall..
