So I have most of the important songs picked out but I have a couple left that I cannot figure out:

1) processional

2) recessional

3) bridal party entrance for reception

What songs are you using??

I was thinking of using "here comes the sun" by the beatles for the recessional song but maybe it's to slow? I want something more upbeat!

1.) Ride of the Valkaries- or something else- I can't remember- mildly dramatic. For officiant/groom

2.) Enta Omri- it's a very very old Arabic love song - for me

3.) we are "retreating" to rob zombie "more human than human" (I think- it's his pick- although he doesn't know it)

violin and cello- I'm MILDLY excited.

There is no "grand entrance" for us- the musicians will actually pack up and go after that- I only hired them for the ceremony.

Processional and Recessional are going to be original music by a local musician.

Reception Entrance... no clue. We tried to figure this out last night and it ended badly.

Jo - I love that you're having a Rob Zombie song!

For our ceremony, we had boring church music.

BP entrance: Thunderkiss 65 by White Zombie

Our entrance: Party Hard by Andrew WK

Processional: strings version of All I Ask of You

Recessional: no idea, but I was recently playing with Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars or Something I Need by onerepublic. I wanted all instrumentals for the ceremony, but I'm rethinking since I can't find an upbeat instrumental song that fits us.

Bridal Party Entrance: I actually made a mix of 4 different songs, each about 15 seconds in length, that have special meanings to the people being introduced (i.e. my best friend/BM/FSIL is walking into Victoria Justice's "My Best Friend's Brother"). FH and I are gonna walk out to about 20 seconds of the Fantasmic! theme (the "BOOM! Ba-dadada-daaaa-dada-da-daaa" part for any Disney fans lol)

NO IDEA on our first dance. FH wanted it to be a surprise for me originally, but I convinced him not to. This weekend we batted around with the idea of Amazed by Lonestar.

Mother/Daughter Dance (I don't have a dad, so she is walking me down the aisle too): Mama's Song by Carrie Underwood

Mother/Son Dance: TO MANY ideas here. FH has thrown out everything from "You'll be in My Heart" by Phil Collins, "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion, and "Forever Young" by Alphaville. He's really trying to figure out what will make his mom cry lol

Cake Cutting: I Choose You by Sara Bareilles (I originally wanted to incorporate this into the ceremony but couldn't figure out the right place for it)

We've chosen more traditional classical music for our processional and recessional. Processional for the bridesmaids is Air from Water Music by Handel and for me is Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring. Our recessional is Hornpipe from Water Music. Our bridal party entrance into the reception is That's Amore by Dean Martin.

We are having a solo guitarist for our ceremony and full 8-piece band (with horns!) for reception.

    1) processional: "Stand by Me" by Ben E. King; Bridal processional: "Heartbeats" by Jose Gonzalez

    2) recessional: "XO" by Beyonce (as performed by John Mayer)

    3) bridal party entrance for reception: "Love on Top" by Beyonce

We used "1000 years" for the processional, "Ho Hey" for the recessional and "I Feel Good" by Thomas Rhett for the bridal party entrance song.

I'm walking down with my dad to Here Comes the Sun. It's always been my favorite song and both my dad and I are huge Beatles fans. Other than that I haven't really chosen anything else Smiley smile
