Help! To keep bouquet or not?

Valarie, on October 18, 2019 at 3:25 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 14
I am having a bouquet toss but I heard the bride keeps her bouquet and tosses a duplicate? Is this right? My event is tomorrow and I didn’t buy another one for this and I put work into mine and added a little charm to go with our theme. I do not mind if I can’t keep it but wondering what other brides are doing? Do I ask for it back? Is that rude? A little advice please! Thank you!

Typically you have a designated toss bouquet. Something similar, but much smaller than your own. I think it would be rude to toss the bouquet then ask for it back.

Throw one of your bridesmaid's bouquet. That is what one of my friends did at her wedding.

Do you have bridesmaids? Is it possible to use one of theirs if they don't want to keep it?

I would not ask for it back. The whole point is that they get to keep it because they are getting married next. If anything you could take the charm off and keep that.

Typically you have a "toss bouquet". Can you make another one for the toss? Or can you fine a floral shop and have them make you one quickly? If not, I would do what PP said and throw a bridesmaid's bouquet.

Correct! lol At least thats what I am doing. I am buying an amazon tossing bouquet. I have seen at weddings where they toss theirs and a little girl caught it and the bride asked for it back. I was like Smiley sad oh no dream smashed!

I made a Toss 💐 so that the person that caught it would be able to take it home with her.

You can toss your actual bouquet if you want to, but most brides don't. I've also seen toss bouquets made out of ribbons, you could do that? Or have someone make an errand to a store for any kind of bouquet that will work!

You toss a duplicate of your bouquet often times it's a smaller Verizon of yours. We skipped the toss al together.

I'm buying a tossing bouquet. It's smaller than everyone elses and it doesn't look as fancy. I know some people who have made them themselves as well.

No, it's not rude. The main reason for a second bouquet to toss is that many brides want to keep and/or preserve their bouquets forever. If you don't have any thoughts about keeping it, then go ahead and use it to toss.

But if you decide you do want to keep yours, then you should get a smaller bouquet for the tossing. Since it's last minute, it doesn't really have to match your current one. Just go to the grocery store and pick out something pretty to toss.

I would run to the dollar store and put together a fake small bouquet to toss. Congrats!

I plan to throw a bridesmaid's bouquet. They are all from out of town and leaving the next day to head home, so I know they won't want them.. plus it saves money! You should keep yours though.. might not think it now, but you could regret it later.
