HELP! Sick before the Honeymoon

Kristen, on December 17, 2015 at 2:08 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5

Ugh, I have a horrible cold, cough, sore throat that started 24 hours ago and we are scheduled to leave on our honeymoon in 48 hours. I don't know what to do! Should we cancel? I have no clue if the travel agency can move dates for us, but do I really risk getting sicker in Mexico?

Any thoughts, advice, home remedies, or experience is welcome!

Lots of fluids, vitamin C and apple cider vinegar can help. Also, emergen-c or airborne (which are essentially vitamin c. If you don't have a fever or any stomach symptoms it's probably just a cold.

If you really think you'd rather move the date, I'd call the travel agency ASAP, but you might risk losing a bunch of money.

Have you ever tried Zicam? It's supposed to reduce the severity..if I take it early it works pretty well for me. Also flood your system with fluids and vitamin C. And proper rest. You can beat this, sending healthy thoughts! Edit: spelling

Yes take airborne 3 times a day, you will get better much faster. Unfortunately if its a virus there is not much you can do other than wait it out.

Can you call the doctor or your health insurance nurse line? Explain the situation. Sometimes they can give you something to help even if it is a cold. Strong meds for dire situations Smiley smile

I would also do Emergen C, and Zicam. Bring it with too, even if you feel better it helps ward it off!

At least in Mexico you can just lay on the beach Smiley smile
