Help. Should my 15 year old 5/6 son be a jr groomsmen or groomsmen

Bonnie, on February 13, 2017 at 12:44 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9

I have found myself stuck. I have a 15 year son who is 5/6 and a male godchild who is 13 years old 5/2. I decided to make them jr groomsmen. Here's the confusing part i asked my two cousins who are a bit younger and shorter to be jr bridesmaids. I think i messed up and this will look horrible. How can i fit this or do it matter? Should i let them all walk along? Might make the wedding seem longer?I think im over thinking this. But the height is seriously off

My son is 5/6 and i think my cousin is 4/8. Didnt take that into consideration that it might look a little off

It won't look off at all. You are thinking too much into it.

Not one single Bridal party in the history of ever, had the groomsmen and bridesmaids all perfectly exact same heights. It's just not going to happen. You've already asked them, so you're stuck with it unless you want to look completely rude by removing them from the Bridal party.

It'll be just fine. BMs and GMs don't have to be proportionate in number or size. It's great that you're including them.

Mine and FH kids are our bridal party. They will be walking alone down the aisle. A lot of people now a days have Jr bridesmaids or groomsmen.

I am 4'9" and my FH is 5'7". Our attendants range from 5'9" to 6'3", every single one of them taller than both of us, some by a LOT. If I cared that much about the heights of the people around us on our wedding day, I'd be chatting up some random 8-year-olds so everything would look nice! Have the people you want in your wedding. Don't worry about how it "looks." If you're really sensitive about the whole thing, talk to your photographer about creative angles and groupings of people and whatnot.
