Help Selecting Bridesmaid Dress

Melanie, on April 25, 2021 at 1:39 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 20

Hey everyone,

My friend is having her wedding soon and I am hoping to get some help selecting a bridesmaid dress. The color scheme for the wedding is Burgundy and Blush. I have a couple of options below but I am very open to suggestions either for dresses or places to buy them.

Option A)

Option B)

Out of those 2 options, I prefer B. A is a little too open for my personal taste and looks like a nightmare bra-wise. Azazie has tons of great styles for very reasonable prices.

Thank you. Yeah, I can definitely see that with Option A.

Thank you. I've never used Cocomelody before.

It’s similar to Azazie with the same try at home program and color chart but is higher end.

Option A is intended for those who don’t need or wear bras. If you are over a certain cup size you will not be wearing that.

Didn't the bride tell you a specific place to get your dress? If not, I've heard great things about Azazie. We were going to use them for our wedding, but a couple of my bridesmaids objected. I like option B better than option A. I think the best approach is going to be to actually try on dresses because what looks good online on a model you might not actually like once you try it on.

Oh yeah. She's been super lax about it, which has been kind of a good and bad thing. I am definitely looking for some local stores. Where did your bridesmaids get their dresses?

Thank you for your input. I have definitely been looking for something similar, although with some more coverage up top.

My girls got their dresses from David's Bridal. My husband and I wanted a very specific color (fire engine red) and the small local places didn't have any in that color. They only had darker reds so I was very limited on options for bridesmaids dresses.

Thank you. This has helped me a lot. I have a David's Bridal near me so I might think about going there after checking out some of the local shops.

I'm team A - love the look, but agree on the bra issue. The color is beautiful. My friend gave us leeway on our dresses as well, which I found overwhelming. I ended up ordering a dress off of Lulus. They had super affordable options, so I ordered 3 styles and returned the ones the bride didn't like.

I would try to find one site that has a few styles that you love. Check their return policy and order a few to try on. For me, the one I thought I really liked was a bust once I tried it on. It helped me once I identified the one site I was going to search, but that’s because the options were overwhelming. I’m sure you’ll find the perfect one!

Depends on your bridesmaids and guests. The first one all though beautiful is very deeply cut . You get full underside breast swag with the girl on the right which a lot of people might be uncomfortable with especially if bigger breasted. Would also be difficult to find lifting bra for bigger breast. So if smaller perky boobs, very self comfortable, and not a lot of grandmas or conservative religious people I think its gorgeous.
