Help- Refused shipment: Returning to sender message

Ostrich, on March 25, 2015 at 10:55 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

So I got these 200 dollar shoes, really nice and they were expected to be delivered on Tuesday with some wiggle room before my first dress fitting tomorrow. When they still didn't show up today I tracked it, and said it arrived Saturday and that it was "Refused shipment: Returning to sender" I've had the error message for nobody being there to sign, so that's not it, and I also had it sent to my parents house, along with all the other wedding stuff since they are in a house.... Has anyone gotten this error message? And they've been getting lots of wedding packages and so they definitely didn't refuse it (and I just asked).

I'd call the postal carrier and find out ASAP.

Something similar happened to me around Christmas. Turns out the package was damaged and was sent back. I had to call UPS and Amazon to finally figure it all out. I would call the carrier and maybe the company you purchased through to find out.

Good idea, I'm tired and a little wine tipsy, online chatting with them now, damaged would make sense as there was some crazy snow in the Midwest this past week

    Pissed would be an understatement....

"Kendall: Thanks for holding, Emily. I can see that the package was not refused, the problem was that the address label is illegible and they have returned the item. I am sorry about this situation."

Ugh! That is awful! I'd make the shipping company pay for express shipping and send you're shoes back out asap since they were the ones who made the label illegible.

And it was Amazon, purchased from Amazon, not a third party seller like I normally do. When I asked if they could provide anything for their inconvenience they offered me an upgraded shipping speed if I buy them again.... I already have prime so can do that anyway Smiley sad And they wouldn't be in for my dress fitting tomorrow either
