Help!!! one bridesmaid doesn’t match!

Brittany, on July 28, 2020 at 4:10 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
My wedding is in 100 days. Things have been awful with the pandemic and i’m trying not to be a bridezilla. I gave my girls the freedom to choose their own dress and gave them three color choices and the fabric. I regret this decision because my best friend of over 20 years chose a TULLE (I said chiffon) dress. she is also the lightest color in the line up. i’m PANICKING. because now she looks like the MOH and she’s not, my twin sister is. it’s my fault for okaying the dress fabric but we had no physical photo/swatch of the color she picked., it was a blind order. I had kindly asked everyone to order the swatches and none of them did. i’m so overwhelmed and i don’t know what to do. a lot of this could have been avoided if I picked the color and fabric and said “get this dress style only”. what do I do?!?!

Is she able to exchange the dress for one that is chiffon? Otherwise, you probably still have time to order another bridesmaids dress on Azazie (assuming they have your correct color?) and have it arrive in time for your wedding. I would double check with the place she ordered the dress from first, and if they can't do anything, check Azazie. Best of luck!!

Also - Azazie has dress swatches available. If you end up ordering through them, you can always order a color swatch from them first to make sure the color matches before the dress is purchased.

I wouldn't stress. You will probably be the only person who notices. Even if it is noticeable, your guests won't think anything of it.

Unless you are willing to buy her a different dress, I don't think there's anything that can be done.

Unless she can exchange it for a different dress I would just leave it .

I think I’d see if she can exchange it and offer to pay or split the costs of the correct dress

This is not that big of a deal. The MoH is the one who will be standing closest to you. If the color difference bothers you that much, your photographer can touch it up for you

🙂I don't see any problem. You know you intended MOH to be lightest, but no one else knows. They will think the dresses complement each other rather than match, which is perfectly fine. People regularly choose some variation, planned. If you want MOH to stand out, change the mix of flowers in her bouquet.
I think you are stressing over nothing. Relax. 🙂

I honestly don’t think it will be a big deal. I say you just let it go and relax! Focus on the big picture Smiley smile

Do you have a photo of all of the different dresses? There's probably a way you can arrange the girls to make it flow well and look goodSmiley smile
