Okay folks, help me turn this frustrating situation around! Okay folks, help me turn this frustrating situation around! Here are the details.
- Our date is 09/17/22
- Paying for the wedding ourselves - Guest list can be small and intimate or up to 150-175, either way we’ll survive - Colors are forest green, sage, ivory, gold with splashes of a bold rustic blue (I added a photo of the color palette I using)- Outdoor ceremony and indoor reception - DIY is our goal to help budget - Love a rustic feel and decor
I need your help with ideas or suggestions on how I can find/save my wedding. All of the venues we adored became booked up once we save a bit of money so now everything feels hopeless.
We entertained the idea of eloping or a courthouse wedding but just can’t get the image we have dreamt about of a traditional wedding. cfb_1501012.jpg

You might be fortunate enough to find a park area with an enclosed pavilion area. There are many in my state that have grounds with buildings capable of holding a wedding reception. What state are you in?

I would try calling around to all of your local town parks and recreation departments. They probably have indoor spaces available to rent for events besides their parks and pavilions. Where I live you can reserve a park or a space 365 days out at the most so you might have luck with getting your date. I would also see if your local historical society has anything.

Keep your date and pick the venue of your dreams with my foolproof plan. Talk to the venue coordinator and slip her a $100 to tell you the brides name who has your date booked- say you just want to email her to offer to buy her date out. Take the email and find her registry. Now that you have her whole name, find her Facebook. Find her fiancées Facebook. Look him up on LinkedIn. Run into him accidentally at his job. Flirt with him. Go to a bar. Buy him a drink. Buy him 6 drinks. He passes out. Have your fiance help you take photos where it looks like you're making out. Email the photos to the bride. Wait for the wedding to cancel. Book your venue. 😈

This is what we did. Our anniversary is 10/16 which is what I wanted our wedding date to be, but the venue we loved most didn’t have it available, so we picked a date they had. I’m excited for a November wedding/anniversary so definitely be open to picking whatever date they have available! It saved us a ton of looking around.

Basically, you don't have a date until you have a venue. You're probably going to have to be flexible about your ideal date.
