You can always skip the favors - they aren't a necessity and guests often don't take them home. If you are set on them you can always do something small and food related. A friend of mine got married and she bought small 1 oz jars in bulk, filled them with hershey kisses she bought in bulk from Sams Club and made little tags that said "thanks and Kisses from the new mr & mrs"

Which was fairly cheap and easy to assemble and wasn't the end of the world if they did not get taken

Candy and/or edible favors are your best bet, I bought some little boxes off Amazon and a few days before my sister and I assembled them and filled them with M&Ms and we put a sign that said "love is sweet, take a treat" altogether I spent about $80 for 110 boxes, and I had M&Ms left over Smiley smile

We’re thinkjng of doing the same kind of idea. But with rock candy to look like sea glass?! We’re inviting 150 people that’s why I was trying to see what other people have done! This could become time consuming.

Hi, Holly! I found a few older discussion threads on beach themed favors- they're from way back in the file but they might provide the inspiration you're looking for!

    Beach Theme Bucket Favors

I also saw these on Pinterest and had to share Smiley xd

Place holders, but maybe add a magnet to the back?

Rock candy or Salt Water Taffy would be perfect. Another edible would be flavored salt in vials or small bottles. It would look like sand.

Non edibles? sea shell or sea glass soap. It would need to be tightly wrapped to contain the scent.

Save yourself the money and skip it. Favors are for kids birthday parties. Trust me when I say you will just be taking most of them home or begging vendors to take them. I used to do wedding photography and they were always trying to get us to take the favors none of their guests wanted.

That sounds like such a cute idea! And if you're worried about how long it will take to put them together ask some of your bridesmaids or family to help you! Smiley smile

We gave out cookies from the Honolulu Cookie Company. They’re shaped like pineapples! Cookies are 80 cents a piece when you order in bulk (100 pieces). Shipping cost depends on your total purchase.

We are getting married in North Florida on the water next August. We're going for laid back coastal elegant vibes. We have 4 "favors" I suppose:

    1. They can take home their placard, which is an oyster shell that our calligrapher will personalize with their names. It'll be on top of each place setting in the dining room to show people their seats. They can take it home too Smiley smile Oyster shells were less than $2 a piece and the calligraphy was $2 a piece.

    2. We're having a candle maker there with 2 signature scents. Each guest can pick a scent during cocktail hour and their candle will be custom made by the end of the night! Her charge is by the hour.

    3. We're having a cuban cigar roller during the reception. Guests can go watch their cigar be hand-rolled and then enjoy it out on the patio or take home. His charge is by the hour.

    4. Granddaddy Sauce. My fiancé's grandfather has a patented sauce recipe. We'll be making sauce and then pouring it into bottles to give to the guests. They can even use it during our during full of southern flair! (dinner is fried chicken & waffles OR bourbon glazed ham, with collard greens, cheddar grits, salad, followed by cobbler and ice cream... don't worry, we'll have a wedding cake and grooms cake to choose from too if they don't like cobbler). The sauce is a family recipe, so we'll make it at home and buy 100 bottles off amazon for $30.

I think favors are fun! (We skipped having lots of flowers, and have been blessed with some good deals on vendors, so that we could focus on guests entertainment and happiness)

I think edible items or personalized items are more likely to be used. There are lots of beach themed edible favor ideas.
