Help, my fiance got a glimpse of the dress

Kelsie, on December 30, 2019 at 9:16 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 20

Hello! By accident, my fiance saw a pic of me in my dress. We were in my Google drive looking at our wedding guest excel sheet. I forgot that I had uploaded a pic there of me in the dress to send to family. He just got a glimpse and then he turned his head away really quickly. However, he did see the neckline, but the screen covered up from the bust line down, so he didn't see that. I'm worried now that he won't be surprised at the first look and the special moment for that is ruined. Did this happen to anyone else? Any advice?

I’m sure he’s going to be more than surprised/emotional when he sees you all done up on your wedding day. I honestly wouldn’t be too upset about it since he didn’t see anything from the neck down.

I agree with the previous poster. Since he only saw the neckline, he still has no idea what the rest of the dress looks like. And even if he did, you weren't all made up for your wedding like you will be on the actual day. Plus he's a guy so I doubt he paid enough attention to actually recall what it looks like.

Thanks for the encouragement! I've been trying to calm myself down about it all night. I'm a little hung up on it.

Trust me it won't make a difference. I bet if someone asked him what style of dress it was next week he wouldn't even remember. The moment will absolutely not be ruined. It will be completely different on your wedding day. Plus, for all he knows that was just one of the options you tried on and not the one you chose. You can play it off that way.

I wouldn't stress. Plus, I'm sure you have accessories to go with the dress! He won't know exactly how you plan to look.

Yes, I definitely want the "wow" moment! He has done his best to comfort me after seeing the pic that I will still be gorgeous. He told me a couple of months ago that if he doesn't cry at the first look, he will when we are saying our vows.

He will forget no worries!! Men don't focus on these things as much as we do. I honestly forget the details of my dress and it's hanging in a bag in my closet. Smiley xd

It's also not the same moment of you wearing it all finished and in person, moment not ruined I promise!!

Yes, he didn't either. However, the moment for him is more about the two of us together. Differences in men and women, because I'm like, "But the dress!!!" hahaha I really hope he cries when he first sees me, but I'm also not expecting it so I don't get upset if he doesn't.
