Hello Everyone,

We are currently planning our wedding for October 7th, 2017. After visiting endless venues and contacting hundreds of vendors we realized everything is way to expensive. We had our heart set on Thalatta Estate and were planning on booking the venue this week but they don't include anything so we need to get every little thing form outside vendors, I've look into all inclusive packages, separate vendors, providing the alcohol, no alcohol etc but it seems like is impossible to stay within $10000 for 86 guests, not including the venue fee, dress and photographer. Long story short I was hoping I can get some suggestions on cheap catering companies or even a nice restaurant in the Miami area where we can have a very smaller but nice wedding. This is so stressful and frustrating. I thought $15000 wasn't a small budget but apparently with all the extras and hidden costs it seems impossible. We really wanted an outside ceremony and party and we don't want a banquet hall.

I have a similar budget for 75 guests.

Check out Vista Lago Ballroom in Miami.

They have a 10K all-inclusive package for 100 guests. They give you a $50 credit, per person, if you have less than 100. The package does not include photography. Venue fee is included as part of the package.

    Hope this helps...

    Hello Maggie,

We decided to postpone the date until March, 2018 to have more time to save. We booked Thalatta Estate for the venue, however we still need catering and everything else. We went to Vista Lago Ballroom last week since they also do catering for outside events and they did gave us an amazing price. The reason I haven't sign the contract with them is that I just find very strange their very low prices compared to every other company in Miami, I am just afraid they are going to be a mess, I know i sound crazy but the discount is so big that I just thinks there is something wrong. Do you know anyone that have work with them in the past?

    Hi Gabriela,

I'm sorry, I don't know anyone personally that has used their services. I made my decision based on presentation of Vista Lago and lots of pictures and video reviews from brides and grooms right after their wedding. I honestly haven't seen their work at any other location. You still have time to make a decision though!

    Good luck!

Hi. We are also thinking of doing our wedding at Thalatta next year. We’re going to have maybe 100 people. We’re even considering a Thursday for the cheaper venue fee. Is it possible to keep the total cost under $15,000 for 100 people including venue, tent for possible bad weather, tables, chairs, linens, caterer, open bar, DJ, photographer, etc etc?? In regards to alcohol, do they allow you to purchase it all, but require licensed bartenders to serve it? Thanks and any tips you have would be great.
