Help me pick between two!

Emily, on January 7, 2020 at 8:54 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 98
So, I actually work at a bridal store. And months and months ago, a dress that had been at the store as long as I had (a year and a half) went on clearance - it was literally the last one in the chain. I bought it. For $75.

However, just to look, because my gut told me I should keep looking, I recently went shopping at other boutiques, and fell in love with a new dress.

(Not the best pics, my mom took them.) the new one has crystals one the belt, straps, and crystal buttons all the way down the train.
And now I’m so confused!! I’m trying them both on again soon, and am at such a loss. I love both for so many different reasons.
What are your thoughts ladies?

Oooooh #2 is gorgeous. I love the train and it shows off your tiny waist.

Maybe one for the ceremony & one for the reception?

Totally thought about that, and if so I would do the first for the reception, but it’s so so difficult to bustle due to the bow so the train would potentially be in the way all night

I think the option of wearing both dresses would be awesome because they are so vastly different. But if you are narrowing down to 1, I would go with the second one. The skirt is beautiful and just wow.

OMG Emily, you have to wear the second dress, it's gorgeous, you look absolutely STUNNING!!!!!!!
That's your dream 👗 girl!!! I'm getting married in Feb. 2021, and I've had my dress for 4 months and now I kinda hate it, since you see so many dresses working in a bridal salon, would you kindly give your opinion of my dress, it's a Stella York, style 6979 if you care to Google it??

Honestly, with your figure, I'd go with the first one.
    It looks fantastic on you!
    Very elegant!💖

    #2 for the ceremony!

#1 for the reception--only $75?! Girl, cut the train so you don't need to bustle it and you have a seeeexy dress to party in!

    Smiley love

Looking at the pics online, I love it if you’re going for that romantic vibe for sure! The sweetheart neckline with the sheer back give it a really romantic but sexy kinda vibe, and the train and appliqué are so so pretty. Sometimes it helps if you put it back on will full makeup and hair (carefully lol!) if you’re able to, because it’s easy to forget what it looked/felt like after a while.

I think they’re both very pretty on you. Depending on your budget you could do both like many suggested. Have you considered wearing a crystal belt and adding crystal straps to the 1st dress?

The second has a wow factor where as the first one doesn’t really stand out as much to me. Good luck deciding!!

I love 2 for you! At least if you decided not to use #1 you wouldn’t be losing too much even though I know $75 is still a lot of money. At least it isn’t $500 or more.

I totally agree with Julia! They are both beautiful on you - but, adding a belt and straps to the first dress looks like it would make it very similar to the 2nd one. I also wonder if you got a better feeling in the 2nd one because it was clipped to fit you better? At least from the pictures - it looks like it fit a lot better than the first one.

Omg, they are both so gorgeous! I really don’t think you can go wrong!

My best advice is to try to visualize yourself at your wedding. Which dress do you see yourself wearing?

I’m wondering if, because you had thought about the first one for so long, you’d regret not wearing it because it became part of your vision of your wedding...? Maybe not, but just worth thinking about if that’s the case!

Another thing to consider is the strapless vs not. Are you more comfortable in a dress with straps, or does it not make a difference to you? I fell in love with a strapless dress but honestly would’ve much preferred to be more comfortable in a dress with straps lol so if i had a second one to fall back on and couldn’t make up my mind, I probably would’ve chosen the one with straps.

Sorry I don’t have a real good answer because they’re both just gorgeous hahaha, but hopefully this helps you think about some things! I really don’t think you can make a “wrong” choice... you look lovely in both.

I was originally going to do just the crystal belt before I found dress #2, but the big difference for me isn’t the sparkle, it’s the shape of the dress, fitted vs a-line

The second one looks so beautiful, but the first one also looks great. Less than $100 is a deal though, do both!
