Help! Is 10 PM to early to end our reception?!

We are getting married this July and have found the most beautiful, perfect place to hold our ceremony and reception. It is a historic bed and breakfast where my fiancee and I and a few others would be staying. The only thing is that they require the reception to end at 10 and the bar to close at 9!...

We are getting married this July and have found the most beautiful, perfect place to hold our ceremony and reception. It is a historic bed and breakfast where my fiancee and I and a few others would be staying. The only thing is that they require the reception to end at 10 and the bar to close at 9! Now, we like to party until late and so do our friends. We are trying to be accommodating to this rule because otherwise this place is just so perfect! We are exploring the option of having an after party somewhere at a hotel where our other friends might be staying, but then those staying at the inn would have to get back afterwards. Any thoughts??

Wedding at 2 and reception goes to quiet at 11. Which means the music can not be heard outside the building and people must be inside. I am sure the dj will stop at 11 but we will sit around with friends and family just chatting after that.

One of my favorite barn venues in NJ wraps up at 9:30. It's booked solid. You can always continue elsewhere with those who want to do that, but I think it's kind of nice to have a not-so-late timeframe for the entire thing.

Most venues in the area were getting married at required receptions to end at 10pm. We felt it was too early for us, luckily I found our venue & they allow us to stay as long as we like but the bar closes at midnight. We will go out afterwards as well.

I dont think so- its what you want! Ours is from 5-9:30 and then we are having a bonfire til 11 (when they make us stop) then we can carry on elsewhere in town or in one of the lodges!

Hi date twin! Ours ends around 11:30 but we're starting at 7. You could do an after party somewhere nearby if that's possible. I think 10 is not too late for it to end if it starts at 2.

Mine ended at 10, there was no problem, i dont think its too early, and by the time your guests get out of there, maybe pick up their kids, ect they wont get home til 11 anyways.
