Do you use the checklist on here? That would be a great start.

Also I don't think you need to worry about alterations yet. In my area, they told me to come get it altered in early July for my 10/20/17 wedding.

I would work on at least booking some of your remaining vendors asap though.

Start getting things done or you won't have food/entertainment/decor/well fitting dress by your wedding date

Booking a venue and buying a dress is something. So clearly you havent done "nothing." If you booked a venue, Im assuming you have a budget and guestlist? Have you booked any vendors?

Date twins! All we have is the venue (ceremony & reception) DJ & photographer. We have a few caterers we're looking at but they've told us they have a few other couples wanting to book 10/7/17 !!

It's a popular time of year for weddings, I'd suggest booking stuff like, yesterday.

Use the checklist! Vendors are top priority- photos, caterer, officiant. Checklist will help you prioritize

My Matron of honor has been a major help and a kick in the butt when I needed it! Lol. She told me to first start on the guest list because once you get an idea then you can get a venue and plan everything around that. Call vendors that you want and book your wedding date! Nothing is more discouraging than finding a place you want/ like but they are booked!

Alterations should be started 2 months before your wedding date, so you aren't behind there at all. If you do them too early, the dress will be made to fit you as you are now, not as your body might be closer to the wedding. You want your alterations done within a couple months of the wedding so it will be fitted accurately, otherwise you'll need to have it altered all over again.

WW actually has a checklist. It tells you which vendors you should be booking and what other decisions you need to be making each month leading up to your wedding. Take a peek at it and it will show you what you should be working on now, and it will keep you on track.

    Hi date twin!

So far I have a ceremony and reception venue (food/alcohol is included), a DJ and a photographer.

If you don't have those things, I HIGHLY recommend getting on it. Finding available vendors for that date has been tough.

Start booking vendors just to set the date! Other than that details can be done closer to the date. You're about on track I'd say.

I would definitely look at the checklist! We just finished booking all our major vendors. Don't worry about alterations, my dress isn't supposed to even come in until 2 months before the wedding! Depending where you are, a lot of vendors book up a year in advance or more.

Fyi, 10/7/17 is less than 9 months away as of the 7th, not 10 months.

A lot of venders will most likely be booked up by now depending where you are located so I would definitely get on that!

I'm only having a 9 month engagement. Use the WW checklist. I had most everything done last month and I've got 2 more to go. You'll be fine.
