Help! i chose to add sparkle tulle to my dress, but now I’m not sure sure!

Hello, everyone! I need some opinions, please. Today I bought my wedding dress (yay!). I decided to add a subtle layer of sparkle tulle underneath the top layer of my dress, but when I woke up in the middle of the night, I started doubting myself.

What do you guys think? Our theme is garden/modern Gatsby. It’s going to be black tie/black tie optional, and we’re getting a massive band, so I don’t think a layer of sparkle is too much. But will it make my dress look cheap? I loved it in the store, but now I’m having doubts.Help! i chose to add sparkle tulle to my dress, but now I’m not sure sure! 1

Your dress is beautiful!!! I think a subtle layer of extra bling will look great! Adding it under a layer will still allow it to be visible as a small detail or enhancer without taking anything away from your oh-so-gorgeous dress 😘

I had a layer of sparkle added to my dress and I absolutely loved it. I will say it was hard to tell in pictures, but in our video it looks amazing.

How do you feel when you are in the dress? Like a Queen? Could you see yourself sayin yes with the extra sparkle? Are you comfortable wearing it? It’s all about what you personally think and feel, go with your instincts.

Can't go wrong with sparkle! My underlining was silver shimmering tulle, it was beautiful. I used the extra that the seamstress cut off during alterations, in my bouquet.
I vote yes to the sparkleSmiley smile

I think with your theme, the added layer of sparkle would make it even more beautiful!

Thank you, everyone! I’m feeling much better about my decision. All of the dresses I’ve loved most have had an extra bit of sparkle, and I definitely want to be shimmering on my wedding day.

Keep it! But I added a layer of sparkle (clear sequins and white beads) under my dress, so I'm biased! 😆

I'm having it added under the second layer instead of the first layer to make the shine slightly less overpowering. If you're thinking it's too much, try putting it under the second or third layer.

I think the extra sparkle goes great with the Gatsby themed! It doesn’t sound like it will be too much.

    Your dress is beautiful!! 😍

I’m always on #teamsparkle, so I say go for it! You could also ask whoever is doing your alterations if you can see a roughly pinned idea of what it would look like when the fabric comes in, before it’s fully sewn in!
