I chopped my hair back in January, I know dumb! It's thin and naturally straight and I was frustrated with it! Well now I am struggling to find a hair style for the wedding! My hair stylist says it's too short for extensions.. I googled and found pics of girls with shorter hair than mine with extensions. If I can't do extensions I am not sure what I will do:/ I regret cutting it so bad! Any ladies on here with short hair!? What are y'all doing for your hairstyle? Thanks!

    New stylist and....

    1) you have a few months to let it grow still

    2) you can do some cute updos with short hair. See below.

Get a different hairstylist. One of my closest friends cut her hair that short and got extensions. They looked amazing too.

Here is a pic of my hair. Something I have learned with being a short hair bride is that you just have to rock it. Sometimes I find myself looking at BAM's where the girl has long luxurious curls and I get a flick of jealousy for how elegant and bridal they look. But then I remember I love my short hair and it's ME. I can't imagine looking at myself any other way.

Find a stylist who is creative and bold. Someone who wants to help you rock what you've got. And keep looking until you find that person. You'd be surprised what a good stylist can do with short hair. The main thing is don't worry about it. Don't let it own you, own IT!

My hair is a few inches longer than yours, but I'm pretty sure we can both get extensions. I'm taking vitamins and not using heat on my hair so it'll be nice and healthy by my wedding day.

If your stylist isn't comfortable putting extensions in your hair, I wouldn't try to make her. I'd just look for another stylist..

I've seen people with shorter hair than yours wearing extensions. You need to find a stylist who specializes in extensions. it can be pricey, but if long hair is what you want, a good stylist and an excellent product (human hair) are the answers.

I think you should just wear your short hair and own it.

@Heather, try using steam rollers to curl your hair. Amazon sells them, they are by Richard Caruso. My hair is very thick and heavy, and curls fall out super easily because of the weight. I can use the Caruso curlers and will still have some curl after 3 days if I don't wash it. Just keep in mind that if you wrap them too tightly they will be Shirley Temple curls.

Agreeing with some other commenters - your hair is not too short for extensions. Maybe your stylist just doesn't have the experience.

To try to get your hair growing, eat a lot of protein - I was doing 20-25g/protein per meal, 6 small meals per day and my hair really started to grow. Biotin helps too, but I saw the most results by eating high protein.

Ive used a shampoo in the past and recently started using it again. Its called ovation hair cell therapy. It helped my hair grow at least 5 inches in 4 months and my hair NEVER grows. Its about 90 dollars for the shampoo, treatment, and conditioner but i swear by it! Im a licensed cosmetologist and this is the only thing ive seen that shows actual growth. Its definitely worth checking out! You can only buy it online but it arrives in 7 days. I hope this helps!

I thought maybe you can do extensions just can't do them straight, you can maybe do everything curly and if you have a vail you won't see all the back. Totally doable

Mix one tablespoon of castor oil with one tablespoon of coconut oil and apply to your roots only. More or less castor oil and coconut oil may be used for thicker hair, I have extremely thick hair and still had leftover mixture! I did this for about a month and was able to grow my hair 2 inches (I had previously cut my hair of dead ends 2 inches). This was weekly treatments, the process can be expedited by using it twice a week! You can also use pure castor oil on your eyelashes at night to help grow them as well, they grow thicker and longer it's amazing! I currently take vitamins called hair, skin, and nails that come in a gummy form everyday!
