Help! First dance song

I think you guys need to compromise and find a different song together. Do a search for best wedding first dance songs and listen to those with no preconceived notions. Choose a song together instead of what you want and what he wants. Choose one that you both want together.

You can have one as your first song and one as your last song.

If you're both stuck on those songs, are you opposed to doing a dance to half of one song, then have the DJ switch to the other song and dance to half of that song?

I like this idea. Planning a wedding together is the ultimate lesson in compromising.

And for the record, I think calling your future spouse boring is not very respectful. I don't think using a Disney song is as unique as you think it is.

I like the Disney one. Youre right that is a common song to use lol but maybe you can compromise by choosing one as your walking down the aisle song

My suggestion would be to find another totally different song that you both agree on and utilize the other two somewhere else in the wedding.


FH and I struggled to find our first dance song and both had different ideas. All the runner up songs that either both of us didn't agree or just didn't make the final cut we're using as pre ceremony seating music.

Have the DJ switch the song in the middle of dancing!

I agree with the top comment...my coworker chose the song she walked down the aisle to, and her fiance chose the first dance song. Or swap it! Luckily my fiance and I agree on our songs, but I'm choosing a non-wedding march song to walk down the aisle to!!

OMG! "So This is Love" by James Ingram is also going to be my song with my fiance! Haha

Perhaps find an acoustic cover of "So This is Love" so it sounds a little more "country" to him
