I need help!! So I think I might have found our venue. And I have two options, each allows me access to the property for my event for 8 hours that's not including cleanup or set up time. So I can either have my wedding/reception end by 6pm. Or have it end by 1am. Which me and fh personally don't...

I need help!! So I think I might have found our venue. And I have two options, each allows me access to the property for my event for 8 hours that's not including cleanup or set up time. So I can either have my wedding/reception end by 6pm. Or have it end by 1am. Which me and fh personally don't think our event would last that long or our guest would even stay till 1am. We were thinking of option 1 and having our event end by 6pm, it gives us the rest of the day to be together as husband and wife. Its also half the price. So what do yall think of it being that early, maybe my wedding starting at 12. And having lunch. Could I still have a big meal like I would at dinner time? And would people still drink this early? What about dancing, its not really party time. I need opinions please!! And it's a saturday.

We had a noon wedding, then a luncheon reception. And we used the dinner menu for all our food selections. No one is going to object to having a big meal available at lunch. At worst, they just won't be able to finish all of it.

I love the idea of having a brunch wedding..I love brunch! People will definitely eat and drink. Like some of the girls have said above, the dancing atomsphere might not be as much as it'd be at an evening wedding. Mainly because of the light.

My wedding is at 12:30 with lunch at 1. Our $3,500 DJ gave us a price break and charged us $1,500 because he can book another gig later that night. Go early & save money.
