Help! Centerpiece is missing something

Erin, on October 9, 2019 at 9:38 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 40
So, I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out what to add to our centerpiece so that it maintains its rustic feel, but doesn’t appear to be lacking. I feel like the mock-up revealed that we’re missing something...just not sure what. Any ideas? Thank you!

Maybe bigger candles and add a lantern? It could look more full if you have the table number if you're adding one. I just googled rustic centerpieces and it looks like a lot of them have bigger candles to make it more full.

I agree with Michelle. Maybe adding more or bigger candles would do the trick

I agree with PP's, maybe bigger candles and a ribbon around the jar? Or fairy lights in the jar?

I really like this! I do think bigger candles would add a little more to it, but I love this as is too.

I like it but I do think larger candles would help . It's probably because the space on the board feels empty

I agree with PPs, bigger candles or a few more of the smaller ones.. If you do more smaller ones, I would add another jar of a different height as well.

Have you thought of doing small frames with photos of you and your partner? You can get small frames and the dollar store, and print photos on a printer. Gives it a personal touch!

A lantern would add more to it and still keep the rustic feel Smiley smile

You could try adding stones to the bottom of the jar. I would also try adding more candles around it so there’s five or six total. The only other suggestion I have is to set the table so you can see what it looks like with the settings in place. I can see how it looks like it’s missing something, but it may be easier to tell what once things are in place, or it may look fine after all.

Bigger candles or even a table number? That could make it seem not as empty

A good rule of thumb is to have decorative items in groups of 3. Maybe add a table number and a vase/ jar with a candle?

I would add a table number and another statement style piece. If you don't want to use a lantern like suggested above you could always use more candles or even some flower petals/additional greenery around the base.

Thanks! A small lantern might be nice actually! The small lanterns at the venue are dark. Maybe adding a cream ribbon to them would help them match?
