Are you talking about bridesmaids gifts that you will give them at the rehearsal dinner or the day of the wedding? Or do you mean a bridesmaid proposal gift, that you will give them when you ask them to be a bridesmaid?
Also, I would highly suggest thinking long and hard about having 20 bridesmaids! That sounds like complete chaos. That means you are going to have to wrangle 20 women, coordinating all their schedules. You are going to have 20 women giving different opinions on their dresses, and everything else that involves them. Not to mention, it is going to be so expensive! Think about your rehearsal dinner- you are going to have to pay for all of these women and their spouses (on top of the entire grooms side of the wedding party, and everyone else invited)! And if you require professional hair and makeup be done, you are going to be paying for over 20 services! That alone is going to be thousands and thousands of dollars! Not to mention the cost for over 20 gifts. And if you need to provide transportation, you are going to have to get a huge vehicle, or multiple vehicles, which will also be very expensive. I’m definitely not telling you to NOT have 20 bridesmaids, I am just suggesting you think long and hard about everything that will go into that, and whether you really want to take all that on. Wedding planning is stressful enough without involving an additional 20 people.

Twenty bridesmaids is a bit absurd. If you really think you can’t limit those numbers for fear of offending someone I’d limit to MOH, immediate family or perhaps your oldest friends. Or no wedding party.

But to answer your question, a gift should ideally be tailored to the individual and separate from anything you expect to be used for a photo opportunity. That’s for your benefit.

I think that’s going to be so beautiful, have as many bridesmaids as you want. That’s 20 people helping you out, don’t listen to the naysayers.

For gifts, I think silk robes with their names on the back to wear while they get ready, maybe cute slippers to match. It is a sweet gift and would make such cute getting ready photos.

I think bridesmaid proposals are the perfect opportunity to gift your WP wedding-related items! Things like robes or cute matching PJ sets with their names or initials embroidered. Items that say “Bridesmaid”, like slippers, wine glasses, travel mugs, etc. You could also include cute items like a ring pop, nail polish in your wedding color, mini bottles of champagne, a copy of the movie Bridesmaid, etc.

For the bridesmaid proposal, consider a champagne glass or tumbler with their names on it and a sweet hand written note.

You really don’t even need a gift for the proposal, but if you want to do one (totally fine if you do), you can use it to start introducing them to elements of the wedding. Like using your color scheme or a scented candle that smells like the flowers you plan on using, etc. You also might wait until they’ve said yes and then hand them the gift so they don’t feel pressured to say yes when they see you’ve already had stuff made for them. I found a cute puzzle on Etsy that I gave to my maid of honor that “popped the question”. Obviously she figured it out when she was halfway through, but it was really cute and she had fun putting it together.
