help - Best Month for Wedding in Daytona, fl

Kristen, on August 6, 2019 at 10:14 AM Posted in Florida Planning 0 5

Hi All,

I am from New Jersey and currently planning a destination wedding in the Daytona, FL area. I am wondering what are the best months to consider for a wedding. The venue we're looking at is right on the beach - what are the best months where it's still warm (not scorching hot) and where there is little rain in the forecast.

Thank you in advance for your help!

We went to Daytona in December a few years ago, and it was perfect weather. It was mid 70s to 80s and we were on the beach each day. I think a random thunderstorm rolled through but that's pretty normal for Florida in general. I would say late fall would be your best bet. Florida can get chilly towards January and February before spring hits. Maybe early November?

Lived in Florida my whole life, and I would suggest October, Early November, March or April. Avoid May-September at all costs. December-February can be a little cold but its totally hit or miss. Sometimes its 50, sometimes its 85. October and November are usually mid 70s and pretty dry, but you run the risk of a hurricane. March and April don't have the hurricane risk, but its generally more rainy so you might just end up with a rainy, gloomy day. We are getting married in March. Our venue is all indoors, but we still want nice weather for guests who want to explore the city, walk to the venue from their hotel, or even just take pics outside.

Thank you SO much Dayna - so helpful. Are you around the Daytona area? I know Florida can vary depending on the area. I think we are definitely leaning towards October - possibility of hurricanes freak me out but something you definitely cannot control. Smiley smile Good luck on your wedding in March!

I currently live in Orlando, about an hour from Daytona, but I've lived all over the state. Beach weather tends to be a little more temperate than central state weather but its not a huge difference. Just ask the venue what their policy is for rescheduling in the event of a hurricane and you should be good to go! Congrats Smiley smile
