Help! Belly bands for invitations are too loose!

Could you fold them over in the back to make them smaller and put a small piece of double-sided tape under the fold to keep it tight?

Unfortunately, they are already pre-scored, and they are heavy card stock, so if you bend them anywhere other than the pre-scored spot, it wrinkles and cracks and looks terrible
And to make it even more complicated, our invitations have printing on both sides, so we cannot add any sort of tape/glue that will touch the invitations. I am so lost as to what to do here

How about cutting the belly bands? make a straight cut on the back, then lay the ends over eachother and use double sided tape in between

We made our own belly bands and we struggled with getting them tight enough to hold thing sin place.. We ended up putting all inserts to one side of the car and placing in the envelope with the "loaded" side at the bottom of the envelope (if that makes any sense).. no one even noticed.

Ooooo that’s a great idea Kiley! I was looking online for ideas, and found something called glue dots. I think it’s basically those glue boogers they put on the back of new credit cards that dont ruin paper. I think it would make the stacks look perfect upon arrival, but I just think it would be sort of tacky to have to pull a glue booger off of wedding invitations LOL I will definitely give your suggestion a try tonight! Thank you!
