Help---amaretto Sour Punch

Mackinzie , on June 5, 2018 at 11:12 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 6

I don't know if this is the place to ask, BUT i'm not finding any answers so I figured i'd give it a shot. My S.O and I are providing our own alcohol, serving only one signature drink, a fancy shot, and Beer. The Question is we want to have amaretto sours (cocktail) but make it into a punch because at our venue we are not allowed to have a bartender and don't want to assign someone for free to stand and serve the drink.. how do i make amaretto punch? and would it not settle after 1-3 hours of sitting there... the "punch" would be in a glass drink dispenser so there is no way to just easily shake up before someone pours a drink.. I cannot claim to be the smartest when it comes to alcohol, as both my S.O and I don't really drink often.. any advice, or help in the right direction is greatly appreciated! Please, keep the shaming me for another time Smiley winking thank you!!

It’s non profitable I guess?? I’m not sure and honestly didn’t even think to ask my venue. Like I said we are not very smart when it comes to alcohol and rules accordingly.. I will definitely give the venue a call tomorrow morning and get details.

This will be a slippery slope, because someone has to monitor it to prevent kids from drinking it someone thinking it's just "punch"

You don't really have to convert an amaretto sour into a punch in my opinion...Just add your lemon juice & Amaretto to the glass dish maybe add orange slices for decoration with a container of cherries for people to add to their drink. Have people add ice to their glasses so it doesn't get watered down.

There will be only about 10-12 kids, ranging from newborn to 6-7 years old. I don't see that being a problem because we will have punch bottles for the kids. There would be no reason for any of the kids to be drinking "so called punch" if they have their own designated drinks that will be printed clearly..But i understand what you are saying.. most of the kids coming are very close to me, so they will know better even if i have to tell them myself..
