Hey guys, so tonight after getting ready for bed I noticed when I put my ring back on that a diamond was missing. Luckily the company my fiancé bought the ring from is fantastic and will be fixing my ring, but I will have to be without it for two weeks! Is there anyone out there that has experienced this?? I'm really upset with myself Even though my fiancé says everything will be okay, I feel really guilty. I also will feel a little naked without my ring for so long. I can't be alone in this happening to me so I guess I'm just wondering if any of you had a similar guilty feeling and what to do about the lack of ring for two weeks. Thank you in advance for the help!

My FH was in the process of getting the ring added to our policy when this happened. We are lucky that the jeweler has a lifetime warranty that also protects us in situations like this.

Yesss it was sooo uncomfortable to wear at first but now it’s like the finger feels like it’s not there if my ring isn’t on it haha

Hmm. One of my diamonds also fell off. It took about 3-4 weeks to arrive. It was no big deal. My hand felt just as before being engaged.
The guy at the store was very apologetic as if this was his fault and used phrases that seemed that this was a huge deal (like I'm sorry for your lost, etc). We thought that was hilarious (and ridiculous haha).
But I guess people do think it's a big deal.

One of mine fell out after three weeks of wearing it. Due to COVID, Zales refuses to repair it right now. We have the lifetime diamond warranty on it, so it will get fixed. However, we were extremely disappointed to not have a ring for me to wear for months after just being newly engaged. We ended up deciding to buy my wedding band early as a temporary replacement until my engagement ring could be fixed. Although we did not want to buy from zales again, we could only find the one I wanted that matched my engagement ring at zales. It came in a month later, and I was ecstatic to be able to wear something again. Now... three weeks into wearing it, a diamond fell out. That’s TWO rings from zales that a diamond has fallen out, and they still will not fix it yet. They do not know when they will reopen their repair shops, and they claim it is not safe for them to reopen. If anything, the repair shops are safer to open than the actual stores are. The repair shop people do not come into contact with all of the customers, and they clean all products sent to them. If anything should not be open, the stores themselves should not be open. I am very frustrated, and my fiancé feels defeated. This is something most girls dream about, and the whole ring process for us has been horrible. I definitely feel like we have the worst of luck. Two broken rings that will not be repaired for who knows how long.... and both have the diamond warranty. So, all that to say, you’re definitely not alone in this.
