I think that'd be worth a try asking

I don’t see why it would be an issue. I would just ask them.

    What’s wrong with that?

You could also have the arrangements placed in your Vases once they’re delivered.
This will ensure that your Vases are not “misplaced” at the Florist.

I'd definitely ask, it certainly can't hurt. Daughter's florist was taking care of all the centerpiece vases, but daughter mentioned she was thinking of buying plain cylindrical vases at Dollar Tree for the bouquets (there would be 6 of them otherwise just lying on tables at the reception) and the florist offered to buy them for her. It was actually easier for the florist because then she could transport the bouquets standing up in their vases (with just an inch of water) and set them up in the bride's room for getting ready photos; then she moved the vases to the reception space (on the cake table, bar, etc.). After the BMs entered the reception, the DOC picked up their bouquets and put them in the vases around the room. At the end of the night, the BMs took their bouquets home in the vases. Definitely talk with your florist about your ideas!

We asked our florist if she had any like what we wanted and she said she didn't so I asked if we could supply our own and they were totally cool with it. We gave her a couple before so she could do a mockup of our centerpieces!

Not a bad idea at all. My mom put together center pieces for us and I asked our florist to set them up on our tables and finish it off with the greenery we requested. She had no problem doing that. You are paying your florist, they will likely do whatever you ask of them.

Not at all. My florist agreed to use wooden boxes that my is going to make. She just requested that we get them to her a few weeks before the wedding so she can prep everything.
