My engagement ring is his grandmother's. My mother is passing down her pearls she received from her grandmother; she's also making my veil, which I intent to pass down to my future daughter Smiley smile

I'm part of the sixth generation of women in my mom's family who have worn this necklace for their weddings (originally belonged to my great-great-great grandma). It was worn by most of my cousins, my mom, my aunts, my grandma, etc.

I’m wearing my mothers mink stole that my father gifted her at her bridal shower. I’ve had it reconditioned and added my monogram to the inner lining along with hers. ❤️

My veil is the lace from my grandmother's dress. Her dress was handmade by my great-grandmother and my grandmother took it apart and gave the lace to her three daughters for their wedding dresses. Now those daughters (my mom and her sisters) have passed the lace to our generation. We have all used our mother's lace on our veils. I would have loved to wear my mothers dress but she was only 88 pounds at her wedding and I haven't been that tiny since middle school.

I'm also wearing my mother's earrings from her wedding and my bouquet will be wrapped in my other grandmother's rosary.

I'm trying to find more ways to incorporate FH's heirloom items too but I have to check with FMIL. I did however find a sixpence from the same year his living grandparents were married. They are the only grandparents either of us has left so i wanted their date included. 60 years together and still head over heels for each other.

Heirloom-ish, but I'm keeping a basket of trinkets and porcelain things representing the women in my family.
