Heels or Hem?

So, my dress came in (yaaaaayyyy!), and when I went to my first fitting, we decided we'd take it in and give it a 3 point bustle. But, even though I'm 5'8", it's a bit long with the 2.75" heels I've chosen. Now, I can do either of two things: suck it up and get the hem shortened, or get different shoes. I don't mind getting new shoes, my current ones were not expensive. But I'd rather not hem if I don't have to... it's only an inch or so too long, and my dress has a rather complicated skirt, lol. I'll include a pic for reference. But I also don't know how I feel about being 6" tall at my wedding...on one hand, I don't mind being taller than FH nor does he (he's 5'9" and change). On the other, I don't know if it will look weird. What do you guys think? (Btw this pic is the sample, I don't have any of my dress on me. But it's the same, obv.) Eta: clarity.

Thanks, guys! I'm pretty comfortable in heels, so that's not really an issue. But I am now leaning toward the hem. ... our wedding is during the day and we're gonna have an after party, and I'm sure the shoes will come off for that, lol. And the skirt is very hard to hike up. I'm hoping taking it in will help a little, but I may just suck it up and hem it. I'll just see when i have my next fitting, i guess. Thanks for the opinions, they were very helpful. Smiley smile

I have a similar problem: I'm 5'8" and am wearing a dress with a deep lace hem, so I'd prefer to not have to pay for hemming. I'm ok with 3" heels, wear them all day for work and am fine in them - and fiance is tall, so dancing etc is easier in heels. But to keep it off the floor I'll probably have to wear 4" heels, which will KILL my feet after a couple of hours. Sigh.
