heels into flats...how does it work?

lots of people are saying they want to wear heels for the ceremony and change into flats for dancing... will that not make the dress too long and awkward to dance in? I love the idea, as do my BMs but then everyone will either stand on the dresses or we will all have to hold them up. ive seen BMs...

Lots of people are saying they want to wear heels for the ceremony and change into flats for dancing... will that not make the dress too long and awkward to dance in?

I love the idea, as do my BMs but then everyone will either stand on the dresses or we will all have to hold them up. ive seen BMs crunching them up in one hand to dance and it looked awful!

any thoughts?

    I'm getting married outside so I'm getting wedges, and then the same height wedge flip flops for after

    I'm wearing 3 1/2" heels for ceremony until my feet hurt. I found 3 1/2" wedge flip flops on amazon that I will change into.

    I had a tea-length dress and my girls had short dresses. Worked well for us. :-)
