What time of the day would a ceremony be acceptable to serve Hors d'oeuvres or just appetizers? A few unexpected things came up in our lives and our wallets really took a punch. What time of the day would a ceremony be acceptable to serve Hors d'oeuvres or just appetizers?

A few unexpected things came up in our lives and our wallets really took a punch. It would greatly reduce our costs if we did heavy appetizers. Any one else doing this or did? I read if you serve high carb appetizers it will fill up guests and they can mingle more.

Our wedding is at 2pm on a Sunday.

We're going heavy apps cause I wanted a variety available to deal with everyones food issues (FH is a vegetarian, SMIL can't do gluten, a couple of vegan guests, and a couple die hard carnivores just to screw things up). Our ceremony is 6p followed by apps buffet, drinks, and cake all ending by 11. We found a caterer to work with us and use some Costco items to cut down the bill.
