If it's your dream ring and you are thrilled about it, then that is the only thing that matters. Whether or not it's what I would pick for myself is irrelevant because it's not my ring. Glad you got the ring you wanted!

I have always wanted a hear shape ring and then prior to engagement decided that a solitaire was something I would appreciate more as I got older. That was my decision however you do you. You love what you love and it's gorgeous!

To me you'll eventually want something more sophisticated but it's your ring and if it's your dream ring who am I to judge.
