Headpiece, Veil, Both, or Neither?

I did a floral hair pin with the veil for the ceremony, and then took off the veil for the reception so it was just my pin. My hairdresser stuck with one pin but I think more would have been pretty too.

I think a hairpiece and a veil look so pretty together! I'm doing a hair vine and a plain tulle cathedral length veil

I had a headpiece tied into my hair that I wore all night. Then I had a cathedral length veil that I wore for the ceremony & pictures, then took off.

Oh I really love the way that looks! I'm now leaning towards something like that...a simple hairpiece with the veil for the ceremony, and then leaving in the hairpiece during the reception.

I love the idea of some sort of bridal hair accessory, but I'm still trying to pick out mine. I'm also debating on a veil. If I had a veil, I would only wear it for the ceremony and photos and remove it for the reception and dancing, so I like the idea of a bridal comb or other adornment (clips, vine, headband, etc, but definitely not a tiara) that can be worn all night. I think it is a way to distinguish "bridal hair" from any other fancy occasion. I'm curious to hear what you decide.

My thoughts exactly. I want my hair to be "bridal hair" and not just a fancy hairstyle. In terms of the veil, I wasn't sure either but reading the forums swayed me to get one, and I'm glad I did. After all, this is literally the only occasion in our lives we'll get to wear one!

I'm super close to ordering this from Etsy - I think it gives that perfect extra sparkle but isn't over the top.

I just did a veil. i kind of wish i would've had a hair piece for the repetition to add a little something (especially because my hair was falling out).

Very true! once you take off your veil you could have the hair piece put in! also, if you do a simple veil they go well with some hair pieces! maybe you could do both best of both worlds lol

I wore a headpiece and a veil for the ceremony and formal photos but when I changed into my reception dress, I just had a hair piece. I don't have a picture of the hair piece I used but it was a blinged out hair comb thing.

Yes!! My goal is to be able to do the hair piece and the veil in for the ceremony and then just take off the veil at the reception because that seems easiest to manage. My veil is pretty simple, just lace around the edge so I think it will work (hopefully)

That sounds like a great combo! I love the look of yours! I ordered 2 hair pieces and we'll see what works best, one sounds like yours (kind of a blingy comb) and the other is more of a vine, so hopefully at the trial I can figure out which works best!
