Headpiece, Veil, Both, or Neither?

Mantilla veil do no head piece. I ask still between a chignon or down with loose curls.

That sounds so nice! A small part of me might want to do a chignon or an updo also...so indecisive...I guess that's what the trial is for, right? Haha

I love the veil look! I feel like it depends on the dress though to know if a headpiece would look good too!

View Quoted Comment Lol. Personally not a fan of head pieces with veils but some look nice. It depends on how you want to wear your veil. I want to wear mine on the crown so no head piece needed but if you wear it low then it would work.

I'm still stuck between an updo, half up half down or loose curls lol, but I have a tiara and veil.

I think I'm going to do both. Below is what I'm thinking for my hairstyle. I bought a viney-type headpiece that can be woven into the braid and will be wearing a veil below the bun for the ceremony. I want the hairpiece to add that extra little bit after the veil is gone.Hairstyle

You're totally right. My dress is sparkly on top and simple on bottom so I'm just wondering if it's enough if I don't have a headpiece once I take my veil off...so hard to decide!

That's a good point. I haven't even thought of where to wear my veil...maybe that will help me figure out if I want a headpiece or not.

That is so beautiful! I feel the same way, I think I want an extra something after the veil is gone to make it still feel bridal...but so many headpieces I've seen are so big and I think I want something pretty understated. I will keep searching!

I'm doing both. I always wanted a tiara, because what other event in my life will I be able to pull that off, you know? But when I bought my dress, and I got the feeling when I put on the one, they jacked me up to give me the full effect. The veil was so beautiful I couldn't say no! But all my BMs and my hairdresser have assured me we'll make it work and look fabulous. So, that's the plan!

Lighting isn’t the best in this picture, but my headpiece is definitely more vine-like. My hairstylist will be able to weave it into my hair day of. What about a small comb instead of a whole headpiece?

Hi Sophie, I love headpieces, I like your second picture the most, I haven't decided on my headpiece or veil yet, I think you should wear both, your hair is so pretty ( I'm jealous ) and I think half up and half down will be STUNNING!!!!!

I love that!! It definitely sounds like meeting with my hairdresser will help narrow it down. I'm thinking of buying maybe 2-3 options and seeing how they all look at my trial, and hopefully I can pick from there!

I love that idea. I think weaving it in definitely makes it more subtle and not stand out quite as much, but still adds that extra sparkle I'm looking for. I haven't looked into combs instead of a whole headpiece, thank you for the idea!

I initially wanted a hairpiece too but ended up with just a veil, since I was worried the hairpiece may be too trendy and I may regret it in like 20 years lol. My mom wore a headpiece at her wedding and in her photos she looks absolutely GORGEOUS but the headpiece is just so silly looking since it was kinda trendy at the time and now just looks outdated :p I felt like just a veil was a more timeless, classic look

Haha I wish that were my hair in the photos! I just found those online! If I'm lucky I can get it to look half as good as that on my wedding day I love headpieces too, I'm hoping I can find one that looks great with the hairstyle.

That is a good point! I am definitely considering not even wearing a headpiece at this point, but I want the look to still feel bridal even once I take off the headpiece. But, I mean, I'll be wearing a wedding dress, so I assume I will still feel bridal even without the veil! I'll have to just see what feels right at the trial I guess!

Omg, that is perfect!!! What better day to get to wear something as beautiful as that tiara That's actually good advice about the trial, I'll make sure to try several different styles even if I really love the first one they do!
