He wants Camo..... :(

My FH wants to incorporate camo into our wedding. I am very much a girly girl and he is VERY outdoory. I refuse to have a camo wedding, any ideas.

Here are a few ideas, Some things are cute ideas. Give him a few things to make him happy and you can have all the other things.

If you do camo with pastel colors, it won't be exactly what he wants - but you're not getting exactly what you want, either. It's just enough to (possibly) make both of you happy. Definitely wouldn't hurt to put the idea down on the table, though! And at the end of the day, you know that you put forth the effort to meet him halfway on it

Ask him if you can have an earthy kind of wedding without cameo. If you can get him to do darker colours instead of pinks and tiffany blue he might be more willing to not do cameo. Then you can do with deep red's or purples or earthy colours.

    good luck.

I was going to suggest the same sort of this as S2BMS. Maybe you can have your colors be a hunter green and chocolate. The men can wear camo pocket squares or bouts. You can do a camo ribbon around the cake, stationary can be woodsy themed. If you add just enough sparkle(I dont know how you feel about bling), it wont be too masculine, and he still gets what he wants.

When my sister got married to an outdoorsy guy, he had suspenders that had camo on one side, and plain black on the other.. for the wedding he wore the black, but he snuck the camo side into a few pictures... shows his personality but still keeps you both happy Smiley smile

We are doing camo, and it's so subtle and fun, even my heels are camo while I have a lacy girlie dress...... remember it's his day too and while you girls can go girlie in tans, browns and greens, even oranges, this is his dream too and there are so many options out there available. Look at my page for inspiration... You can run the country/camo into the vintage theme really easily, just breathe because you have a long ways to go and lots of time to look and browse.....

Today is "Monday" right... cuz I only come on WW on Mondays.... LOL...

Hi Taylor ~ Welcome to WW.

You can do Camo in little touches. Camo vests under the tux. Camo ribbon on cake. Camo runner. Camo colored petals. Or does he like mossy oak? or the Snow camo?

Deer or Duck Decoy instead of a ring "pillow"

    Wine with camo...

I also agree with doing some outdoor/wood cut centerpieces.

Even a GIANT woodcut to be a guestbook.

I love the camo garter and shoes

my fh is a "mini trucker" who wears a hat backwards, black shorts, and long black socks every day of his life so i told him the hat has to wait til the reception is under and then him and my son (his bast man) are wearing matching DC shoes. maybe a layer of camo under your dress.

Keep in mind this is his wedding, too. You're embarking on a life of compromise, now-- this is a great place to start! Camo cumberbunds (how *do* you spell that?) maybe?

Maybe the garter could be camo? I have seen some of those that were very cute!

I like the fisherman's knot too. Probably because I'm marrying a fisherman. P.s. I like the idea of suprising him with a camo garter under your dress

Well, at the risk of being ostracized (LOL) I had camo in our wedding. DH wanted a camo vest with his tux which when seen in person, looked a lot better than i expected. His vest and my garter were the only camo pieces in the wedding; however our colors were green and brown. The green I chose was a lighter green which didn't really scream camo and chocolate brown which is very popular. I don't have a lot of pics back yet, but I will post when I do. I just wanted to be devil's advocate and say, it can be done tastefully. and really, you could barely see the vest under the tux jackets Smiley smile good luck!
