Hawaii or St. Lucia in October?

Melissa I'm no help LOL! Either of those will be great! October may be an off month (good thing) for traveling to Hawaii tho. Going on my HM to St Lucia in June so will have to let you know about that. Lived in Hawaii for 3 years...LOVED it.

We were on Oahu and Maui for our honeymoon from October 21-31st last year, and it was absolutely beautiful! We traveled from CT.

Hawaii and St. Lucia will be able to offer you the same time of activities--like rainforest hiking, beach relaxation, etc, but the beaches in Hawaii will be much, much nicer than the beaches in St. Lucia, which tend to be rocky and pretty narrow.

Also, early October is right in the middle of hurricane season, which could potentially affect a trip to St. Lucia. As Bennett mentioned, October is also the low season in Hawaii, so you should be able to get some good deals.

I would recommend Hawaii, if you are not looking for an All Inclusive Resort and you want to go

to a few different islands. If you choose St.Lucia, there are many amazing resorts, however I would recommend travel insurance, since it is still hurricane season

Hawaii would be better in terms of hurricanes. We booked into Grenada which is "outside of the hurricane belt" because it's further south. You could try a different Caribbean island if it shortens your flight time. I live far away from everywhere beachy-warm

I went to St Lucia in November and it was amazing. Hawaii is a tough competitor though, but ultimately I think it will be close to the same experience. I found St. Lucia to be really relaxing and just sorta chill and have some drinks. Hawaii there's lots of exploring and "excursions" to go on... so it kinda depends on what kind of trip you're most interested in. Good luck in your decision making.
