Having a Sunday brunch wedding

Tracy, on November 11, 2018 at 6:49 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
I am in Warren, Michigan and looking for a venue that could do a Sunday brunch wedding, early March 2019. Has anyone done this before in my area? If you had a brunch wedding, did you get a venue or did you cater to a cheaper location? Any ideas are helpful. Both my best man and maid of honor are military and we have to work around there schedules so off season is not only easier, but what works for them. I also would like to have the ceremony and reception be in the same place.

I'm currently planning a brunch wedding but not in your area. I would suggest posting this under local groups to generate a better response.

We had a brunch wedding, we had it at a Marriott, they did all the catering and were super excited to work on our custom menu, and people are still talking about how incredible the day was and how good the food was!!!!!

Try Tapestry in Southfield I’ve heard they have great food and the owner Steve goes above and beyond. You can have the ceremony and reception there. And it’s very budget friendly with a lot of things included in the price.

I'm also planning a brunch wedding. We're having ours at a banquet hall/ballroom space here in Lexington, KY. It's called Copper Roux if you want to look it up to kind of see what we're working with. The caterer is in house and they've been great about coming up with a brunch menu for us, they said this is their first brunch wedding but they've done a lot of day after brunches.

You mentioned having the ceremony and reception in the same space, that's what we're doing as well. We'll have a few rows of seats for immediate family members and all other guests will be seated at their reception table for the ceremony. After the ceremony, the seats/ceremony area will be the dance floor.
