Having a sit-down with wedding coordinator this weekend..due to her breaking our contract

B2B2020, on December 12, 2019 at 3:43 PM Posted in Planning 0 6
We hired our planner a year ago. Since than she has only helped up now with 3 things. Having her reply back is a struggle, she has forgotten our date at times when she sent info to vendors...waited to long to ask about bridemaids dresses ( we just so happened to go look around and found that the dresses wouldnt even arrive on time! She even sent us the "go ahead " on our invites with the wrong date!!! No rundown of our budget plus much much more. We spent a fortune on her ..and I have never been so stressed out about a happy part of my life. We have already had one sit down with her 4 months ago..please wish us best vibes on this. I hate confrontation ...she is a well known coordinator in the area and highly recommended so we are just so confused and upset!

Did you have to sit down with your coordinator?

Oooph, good luck. That’s one of the many reasons I didn’t go with a coordinator or planner. I don’t like having to rely on other people to get stuff done, it goes all the way back to class group projects for me xD. I would have had a cow a long time ago over that sort of stuff.

It's good that you are doing this now rather than dealing with the repercussions of a terrible coordinator day of. I would make a list of all the things that are wrong or that you are not pleased with. This will be helpful when you confront her and are nervous. I would ask for a full refund of your contract price and let her know you will be leaving a review of her service on all social media platforms. Warn other brides!

I agree with Lauren, make a list of everything that’s been ruined already because of her and note how dissatisfied you are. I’m so sorry you have to do this. Leaving bad reviews really brings down people’s ratings so if it was this bad for you, definitely a warning for others.

Yes thank you...we have emails...contract...and phone call dates in hand , highlighted. I'm not looking for a argument by any means....we just need to place this I formation in front of her that we are less than 90 days out and have so much that's not been done. She has assistant s that will be helping and I just need to make it aware that it's GO time. We have little time and lots to do.

I am so sorry this is happening. This is one reason I didn't hire a wedding planner. I am a perfectionist so I didn't want to rely on someone else. I preferred to handle everything on my own.

Make sure you go in there ready. She'll defend herself but you got the receipts. Stress is normal now but if she's vacant that's nonsense.
