Hello I am 24 years old and I am having a courthouse house wedding September 2016. Can I have a engagement party? And or register to places? I want to make it feel like a real wedding . We are having a " we tied the knot bbq/party" to celebrate instead of a reception. But I need help to make this...

I have nothing against courthouse weddings, but yup, a tiny celebration at a nice little restaurant with your closest peeps would be amazing. Nothing crazy yet beautiful and intimate. Oh and I do photos (maybe?)

    Happy planning!

I realize this post is a little old but I just came across it and wanted to throw in my two cents. I've been considering a courthouse wedding as well due to costs. THEN I found the Liriodendron mansion in Harford County. They offer a "petite wedding package" good on weekdays for 2 hours with 25 guests or less (including bride and groom) at the mansion for $350! The mansion is GORGEOUS and a great alternative to the courthouse.
