Have you ever felt like quitting the wedding planning & eloping?

While I really want a wedding with all my families & Friends, I'm wondering if it's worth draining our bank account? $5000 is ALOT of $$$ for one day. I feel so torn and so confused :-(

All the time. I'm thinking about it right now! I'm sure when the day comes I'll feel differently and I'll be content with our decision.

I feel your pain! Where in SoCal are you? I live in Santa Barbara and everything is so expensive. We originally wanted a 100 person wedding but we had to cut the guest list to about 80 to save money. Smiley sad

FH initiated the idea of eloping once we got engaged but I said no because I've always envisioned a big wedding w all our family and friends there. HOWEVER, about 2 months into planning, I started thinking that eloping might not be such a bad idea. Things got so stressful, looking at the price of everything and all the drama...I just wanted to say f it. We just put our deposit down on our venues and although I thought I'd be happy I'm actually having buyers remorse. I'd rather elope honestly. Been thinking about it damn near everytime someone asks/gives their 2 cents about what/how we should do something. :/

Wow I wish I had seen this two weeks ago when I was having daily meltdowns and feeling like a horrible person for wanting to call it quits and elope! Haha.

But in all seriousness, I'm not sure if this would help, really depends on how much time you have left before the wedding, but I've been putting aside $30 everyday and depositing it all at the end of each month. I'm about 16 months out from the wedding and assuming I can stick to this, believe it or not, it comes out to about 14k.

If you can think of an amount that you'd be willing to put aside each day and wouldn't be missed too much, I mean try calculating it x30 to get an idea of how much you could put aside in a month.
