Has your fiancé seen your wedding dress?

In person, helped you pick it out, in a picture, or magazine etc??? As some of you know from my previous post, I found my gown yesterday and since I bought a sample sale gown I got to take it home with me. We live together and so it's in our room. There's a chance he might see it, maybe peak inside...

As some of you know from my previous post, I found my gown yesterday and since I bought a sample sale gown I got to take it home with me. We live together and so it's in our room. There's a chance he might see it, maybe peak inside of the bag or since we normally use each others phones he might find a picture. My mom and fail say its bad luck so I'm scared he might see it and with 8 months left for the wedding I hate feeling like I have to babysit the dress!!

Becky- There are photo vault apps that you can move your pics to. You have to delete them from your photo album once they are moved but that's an idea. I loaded one but completely forgot the password so I'm glad I didn't delete them. That's why he is off limits to seeing the iPad Smiley smile

My first wedding, my fiance was the one who went with me and helped pick out the dress. I'm pretty sure that wasn't responsible for the end of that marriage, nearly 20 years later!

Second wedding, NotFroofy and I picked out our dresses together, so they would coordinate.

Seriously, this is just a superstition--meaning, there is no actual truth in it.

FH came with me to the bridal salon so he's seen it. I wouldn't have been able to commit to such a big expense without him (it's his money, too!). It didn't end up mattering, because I knew in the dressing room that it was The One, and when I walked out, he was like "this is it." It was an easy decision for both of us.

He helped me pick it out. But he has only seen the sample gown and that was back in November. Since then he can't look at any pictures of it and he said he's already sort of forgotten what it looks like.

With so many people doing first looks these days I don't think it's that important for him not to see the dress before I'm walking down the aisle. He had a blast helping me pick out a dress and I'm just so glad he was there to help make the decision. And he DEFINITELY wasn't like the grooms on Say Yes to the Dress, he was very helpful!

No! He asked me like a week ago if I got a dress yet! I just didn't want him to know anything about it! I'm not worried about bad luck, I just want it to be an amazing day, and I want his face to be genuine surprise and (hopefully) delight when he sees me walking down the aisle...

My FH does care honestly. I could wear a brown sack and it wouldn't make a difference to him. Also, he just doesn't get clothing in general. I don't even think he knows what strapless means...even if it's self explanatory.

Thanks amberrdoo! I should've looked into that a long time ago. I downloaded the app and locked them up.

Mine begged to go dress shopping with me and tried to go through my phone afterwards hunting for pictures and tried to bribe his mother to send him the pictures that she took. He saw it when I was looking at it online but only because I pointed out how ugly it was (doesn't look ANYTHING like the online picture) so basically he is still clueless and I have a zip tie through the zipper and around the hanger so he can't just "sneak a peak" lol after my first fitting he tricked me into giving him a clue, he asked if it needed to be taken in since I lost weight and like an idiot I said "no its a corset so I don't have to take it in"

FH has seen both dresses, but the ceremony dress will be slightly different, I'm adding straps to it and I'm wearing a veil that he has never seen. Plus, once the whole picture is together, hair...makeup...dress, it's another story altogether. AND, it's our wedding day so there will be a lot of high emotions, which will change things also.

FH has not seen my dress and is completely against seeing it until I walk down the aisle. It's at a close friend of his family's since the only relatives of his/mine that live in our town are his parents, where we sometimes stay the night in their spare room. I didn't want him to know what color my dress is so when we visited my parents who live out of town, I knew he was outside on the swing so I started talking to my mom about matching the pink of my dress to a veil. My dress is all white though. On our way home, he told me he had to confess something...that he "knew" my dress is pink...lol I can't wait until he sees it.

Nope!! I actually allowed him to get his hands on my pinterest wedding board and I'm thinking he thinks he knows the style. Truth be told... it was a set up.

I opted for a mermaid, but before I got it I swore I wanted a tea length dress. So... now he thinks I'm wearing something short and simple. Wait till he sees the gorgeous mermaid dress with a killer train. He's going to be so surprised.

Since I've been in love with my dress for three years (long before we got engaged) he has seen it on the internet, but does not know that that's the dress I bought.

He has not seen the actual dress in it's entirety, but he did see the bottom of it. I just pulled a little piece of it out of the bottom of the dress bag so he knows the color and material. My dress is not a traditional "white" dress, so I wanted his thoughts on the color. However, he has made it clear that he doesnt want to see my dress. It actually just hangs in the guest room and he hasnt tried to look at all.

Yes :-) It was only me & FH who went shopping for my dress, which was just the way I wanted it. The look on his face when we both knew it was "the dress" melted my heart and I don't regret my decision to have him with me one iota :-)

I only let him see the veil but he doesn't want to see it plus I want to surprise him. It isn't often he sees me all dressed up with hair & make-up done, so he'll be surprised. :-)

I showed him a pic of two dresses that I couldn't decide between to ask him if he liked either (not on me but on the site)... I mean it's him I'm going to want to impress with the dress... I told my MOH and niece and they told me how stupid I was for showing him and why would I do that... I mean we've been together for over 13 years. I decided on which dress but told him it wasn't either so he wasn't expecting anything... but also the dress didn't have the sash I'm picking or veil or anything...
