Has anyone used the name change package on missnowmrs.com or another website?

I still haven't changed my last name! I know, I'm lagging... I DO want to change it but I'm worried about fees, filling out forms correctly, and making sure I get everything needed and that my name gets changed everywhere it needs to be. I was looking into the package deals on various websites that will get all the forms and stuff together for you to make it quicker and easier but I was curious if anyone has used these services before? On missnowmrs or another site? Are they worth it, or should I just do it on my own? I live in California if that's relevant.

Start at the SSA after you get certified copies of your certificate. Then DMV, the bank/credit cards, and continue to trickle down.

Those name change services are a waste of money.
ETA: The most I was asked to do was fax my marriage license to one CC company. My bank just required me to show my old ID and my new one. I don't have a passport but from what I understand, you have to mail a copy of your marriage certificate and they'll mail it back. It can be time consuming, but it's not hard.

It's a waste of money honestly. Get your license, get your name changed with SS then your driver's license and then keep going.

There is a free site called. www.bridekit.com, but I have no idea how useful it is.

I tell my couples to get three 'real' copies. It's usually cheaper if you do it all at once; then you have one to put away and two to shop....

I researched them and decided to do it myself. They don't really fully take care of it and filling out the forms aren't that complicated. Just make a list of things you need to change it on and knock them down. I have already completed all the paperwork so when we get our marriage license back, I can start the process right away. Took me maybe 10 mins max to fill out.
