Has anyone used Jj's House for dresses?

Alycia, on May 29, 2019 at 1:24 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14
They have the bridesmaid, jr bridesmaid, and after-party bride dress styles I love. I used Azazie for my engagement photo dress and it came out perfect. Azazie makes their dresses with your custom measurements at no extra charge. JJ's House charges a small fee for custom measurements. JJ's House allows simple alterations to their styles (add straps, etc.). Azazie is not allowing any design alterations right now. So both companies have ups and downs, but I don't have any experience with JJ's House. Has anyone used them before? I love their styles! The fabric swatches I received from them are really nice. I'd love to hear from anyone who has actually ordered dresses from them.

I have not ordered from them but they are different than Azazie. They are a knockoff company based in Asia who steal images of true designer dresses and tries to replicate them using cheaper materials. Some people their dresses turn out great and others it’s a complete disaster. I would only order from them if you have the time and money to get new dresses if it doesn’t turn out well.

Like Kelly mentioned, Jj’s house takes designs and (usually unsuccessfully) attempts to remake them for a lower price. I’ve seen a few good reviews for them, but they’re mostly negative. If you’re morally okay with this, I would be sure to look into the reviews yourself before deciding.

I didn't have the best experience with JJ's house. I ordered a MOB dress from there, and the fit was weird and the return process was annoying.

How do you find the actual original designers? The dresses seem to be copied all over the net.

To me most bridesmaid dress designs are the same. I just wouldn’t trust a company who is based in Asia and known for knockoffs. Their blatant stolen designs are mostly wedding dresses, I have no idea about the bridesmaid dresses. But I would stick with azazie, David’s bridal, Nordstrom, Bella bridesmaids etc.

David’s bridal has a dress very similar to the MOH one.

I've looked through DB, but I see so many negative reviews about them I'm nervous about trusting them.

I understand about your concerns about DB, but I'd be MORE concerned about JJ's House. At least with DB you'll have a store to go to with your concerns. However, daughter had a fabulous experience with Azazie. She ordered swatches to figure out the perfect color, then she ordered 3 dresses for try-on that met her criteria (#1 was that the girls could wear a regular bra and #2 was a chiffon aline). We were so impressed with the sample dresses and the entire process. They ended up selecting the Keyla dress. Her girls lived in 5 states spread across the country and ranged from a 6' tall size 6 to a 5' tall size 16-18ish. All of her BM's did custom size orders and their dresses were great (and custom sizes include a reimbursement amount for additional needed alterations). There are so many reviews of Azazie on this forum and they are pretty much all extremely positive. I had my doubts about any online store for the BM's dresses, but it was really the perfect option. (And, their dresses were $120, delivered.) We looked at DB first, and Azazie was SO much better quality/price/value/service. I did a quick look and while Azazie doesn't have exactly what you've posted, there are definitely similar options. (Choose asymmetrical hemline from the option list to see their high-low hem options.) Good luck!

I ordered my bridal dress from Jj’s House and bridesmaid dresses from Azazie. I got fabric swatches from both, both seemed good quality. I’m still waiting for the Azazie dresses to come in but I’m sure they’ll look great based on the reviews with pictures. For my bridal dress, I like Jj’s a lot because of the price and the quality was very nice. Even my bridesmaids are impressed with the quality of Jj’s. That being said, I still intend on having personal alterations because I wanted a more flesh tone nylon for the sleeves and the sleeves they sent look more like a white organza veil material. When I looked VERY closely at the picture online, the model was wearing nude color sleeves under the dress’ sleeves to make it appear more flesh tone! Overall I think the quality is wonderful at Jj’s, but because the dress cost was low I could budget for alterations- I thought alterations were a normal part of the dress fitting process (however many months out, then weeks out, etc.). Best wishes!

I bought my dress, and a bolero jacket, from JJs House and was very happy with the quality and fit. Expedited shipping was a relatively good deal too (got it for the dress, not for the jacket, which I ordered later....felt like that took a while to arrive.)

I’m torn because all of the customer comments for JJs from the past couple years on WW are very positive. The searches I got from them are very nice quality.
Perhaps I’ll try just the jr bm dress first and see how it looks.
Azaie is awesome! I love my engagement photo dress from them. (Waiting on those photos! So excited!). But they don’t have the styles i want for the wedding.

That's exactly why I ultimately went with Jj's. I think it's a safe bet to try the jr bm first!
