Has anyone sent invites to celebrities / famous figures?

Fh is obsessed with the Yankees (blahhhh I'm a Phillies fan) he wants to invite Derek Jeter. He legit cried when he retired and I think I've seen him cry like twice ever. Hopefully we get something back

FH and I are obsessed with the show Fixer Upper, so I want to send one to Chip and Joanna! They live 3 hours away so maybe we have a shot!

@Yasminadlv I shared your post with my FI (who loves Peter Dinklage), and he is not set on making sure we invite him no matter what!

Obama and Bill Murray. We have a section on our invitations where we are writing a personal note to each & on Bill Murray's we are going to write that he is welcome to whatever reading he chooses during the ceremony... His son lives here so, you know, high hopes?

@Catie FH is now INSISTING we invite Peter Dinklage as well. He is Game of Thrones obsessed.

@chrises- Oh man. I bet fh is gonna wanna invite Bill Murray. He was actually in a bar in our town once and no one knew it was him- true story! I thought that was hilarious. The bar is pretty questionable, hence why no one knew him!

Seeing that I live and die with the Detroit Tigers I intend to send one to my original husband Justin Verlander. Among the others: POTUS, Amy Pohler, Ellen and some more.

I only sent one to President Obama. I think it took about 4 months to get a reply.

Mickey and Minnie cause we got engaged at Disney, Ben bius is coming to our wedding, Ellen Pompeo, hagood cox because I went to school with her, Anna Hicks who will be coming cause she's a good friend of mine (she's more of an independent/commercial person now but is trying to break into movies)

A lot of these you have to be invested in politics, modeling, or independent movies lol but yea lol

I knew you could do this with the President and Mickey and Minnie Mouse, but I never realized it was a thing to do with any celebrity. My fiance is a HUGE Taylor Swift fan. Like, sings along in the car and wanted to marry her up until he met me. I may need to try this for him!

My celebrity invite choices if I were to do it? John Krasinski, NPH, Joe Flacco, and YoUDee. He's the mascot for the University of Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens. I love that bird!

Finally, another Taylor Swift lover! I was starting to think I was the only one. I might just have to do this. She does have family in my area.
