Has anyone put a sash/belt over a beaded bodice?

I’ve ordered my dress and after looking at pictures again and would possibly like to accentuate my waist more. The dress is strapless sheath/A-line with a beaded lace bodice and lace appliques throughout. I wonder if any of you have put a belt or sash over beading without it looking out of place? I might have more clarity once the dress comes in (soon!) but thought I’d get ideas now too.

I'm adding a belt to my dress- the top is sequined but the skirt isn't- I wanted the belt to help break that up a bit.

It may be easier to make this decision once your dress comes in and you go for your first fitting. You can ask the store to give you a belt or sash to try on and see how it all works together!
When did the store reckon the dress will be in by?
