Has anyone ordered their wedding/engagement ring from Brilliant Earth? If not, where?

Lauren R., on May 17, 2015 at 5:40 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

They don't seem to be as popular, but I ran across them a long time ago (before I was even engaged) and loved what I saw on their site. Has anyone had personal experience with them? I am not finding anything I like locally and think I may take a chance.

Thanks!

I loved their stuff but they're so expensive compared to some other sites. We ended up ordering my engagement ring from gemsny.com, and I love it!

I got Fiancee's ring at Shane Company -- they have a nice selection of stones and bands, jewelry comes with a lifetime warranty (though you have to bring it in or send it to them for inspection and cleaning every 6 months), and really good prices, relatively speaking. She wants to use her e-ring as her wedding band, so it was definitely worth it.

My cousin's engagement ring and eventually her and her husband's wedding rings were from Brilliant Earth; they are really pretty. My fiancé went with Nodeform on Etsy for mine - I wanted a lab created white sapphire and I liked the designs I saw. He chose one that was perfect for me Smiley smile

EDIT: We are probably going to be ordering from Etsy for our wedding rings though - https://www.etsy.com/listing/163652084/diamond-facet-texture-wedding-bands-set?ref=shop_home_active_12 this set or this one https://www.etsy.com/listing/159930539/set-of-2-narrow-hammered-wedding-bands?ref=shop_home_active_14 although we will probably ask her to do a wider band for my fiancé.

We live in SF where Brilliant Earth has a brick and mortar showroom, and FH ended up getting my engagement ring from there. I absolutely love it and they were great about the process of choosing and buying the ring. I only looked into them because a friend of mine recommended them and they didn't disappoint us. Yes, the rings are expensive, but the stones are ethically sourced, which matters a lot to me. For our wedding bands FH and I went to a jewelry dealer in the city that another friend of ours used. I can't speak to the process of ordering the ring online, but if you have other questions, let me know!

I loved the designs on Brilliant Earth when I was just looking around for fun. Especially because of the ethically sourced diamonds. My FH actually bought my ring from a local designer here in NYC that has a similar philosophy called Ken and Dana Designs. I can't recommend them enough. Their designs are beautiful and nature-inspired, they use non-conflict diamonds and recycled metals where they can. Everyone goes nuts over my ring when they see it. Definitely check them out online.

That is where my fiance got my ring and I am obsessed! The quality is amazing and it comes in the cutest wooden box. Highly recommend.

Thanks for the feedback and for the suggestions for other retailers. As I said, I have been to a few stores locally and wasn't impressed. An acquaintance of mine got her ring from Shane Company and had to take it in for a repair within the first few months. BE's business practices were a huge selling point for me and their prices also aren't bad for the quality I think I would be getting. I will check out Etsy, too - Mary G, I think my fiancé would love those rings.
