Has anyone ordered from Hips and Curves.com?

Merfy Lou, on April 30, 2012 at 5:03 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

I'm looking at ordering

I was just wondering if anyone has ordered from them and what their experiences were?

I'm ordering that as well. I haven't bought that particular item but I've bought from them in the past about 3 times. I had no problems with their products, service, timing or anything. It was a bout 2 years ago the last time I ordered from them.

Sizing is true to size? I'm really worried about my ladies staying in, since their on the larger size (40G/H) and it's hard to find things that work nicely and are strapless. I also have a "beer gut" (not really from beer, but I love the country song http://www.cmt.com/videos/trailer-choir/406164/rockin-the-beer-gut.jhtml) so I'm worried about everything working out right. And $150 is quite a bit to shell out

Love them!!! I've had great experiences with them and their customer service. If you're not sure about your corset size, call and talk to them. The first corset I ordered was too big (With the back laced completely shut, FH can stick his arm all the way down the front! Corsets shouldn't work like that!), and if I hadn't talked to the customer service I would have ordered an even larger size! Squishy tummy really does compact on itself, so when I measured my waist I didn't really subtract enough inches for a good corset fit.

I believe all their steel-boned corsets have a generous back-panel if you don't like your skin showing through the lacing. I should have ordered smaller and then left the back more open.

Their quality of corset and steel-boning is worth the price, IMO.

Thanks Jessica! I'm going to buy a tape measure on my way home (been wishing I had one recently anyway) to get a better guess. I want to get it right the first time, since I'm having a fitting in 2 weeks (hopefully, I need to schedule that tomorrow)

Merfy - Send me a message if you want any more details. I can tell you what size I am, what size corset I ordered that was wrong, what size was right.... Is this corset to wear under your wedding dress, or for fun times later? If it's for under the dress, I'm pretty confidant that it will be nice enough fabric that you can wear it during sexy time, or out to a party or with a costume. None of the corsets I've ordered from them were for wearing under something!

It can be hard to measure yourself, I think that's part of what I did wrong the first time. If FH or a girlfriend can do it for you, that's helpful. And definitely measure a few times to get a good determination of the size.

Good luck!! I'm probably ordering more for them for the honeymoon!
