Has anyone lost a friendship during their wedding planning?

I finally decided that the person who is supposed to be my BFF isn't really. I was going to ride it out and invite her and her sister whom I was also freinds with to my wedding but I decided to just remove them from my facebook and that should tell them they're not invited to the wedding and so that's what I did today. Deleted them on FB. And you know what? I feel great! They were barely there for me..I haven't heard from either in over a month since they missed my engagement party. It would be awkward to have them at my wedding. Anyone else lose a friendship and do you feel okay about it?

Yes. Tonight actually. My “best friend” of 17 years decided to drop out of my wedding due to financial stress and the stress of how I was wanting her to look for my wedding (all I ever asked was for her to dye her hair a natural color instead of having bright purple hair with a blue dress). She told me she had been feeling this way for months but just now decided to tell me. I of course got mad, and confused because it felt like it came out of no where. This lead to her calling me a bad friend and telling me that everytime we talked she felt like she was walking on eggshells and I make her feel guilty.

I apologized. Multiple times. Sent a heart felt message saying that I was sorry I overreacted and all she sent back was “that’s fine.”
At this point, I’m kindly over it and see it as a blessing in disguise. Weddings truly do bring out the worst in people, and it always is the ones you think wouldn’t do that in a million years.
